Happy children with smiling role model

Embrace new challenges

The course develops your child’s ability to apply their problem solving skills to a range of situations. Learning how to think creatively can help them feel confident and increase their readiness to embrace new challenges. Developing critical thinking can also increase independence, giving them the tools and strategies to make decisions.

What activities will the children do?

The course includes lots of fun activities which encourage the children to work together to solve problems and use their creativity to come up with new ideas. Specific activities include the ‘toxic waste’ challenge and designing their own ‘Dragon’s Den’ innovative product as well as pitching their idea.

Please watch our Parent Webinar below to get a better sense for what our Creative Problem Solving Course entails. This includes an overview of what your child will learn, together with ideas and strategies for supporting their learning at home:

KAUST

How does it work?

Our courses are available for children aged 5-7, 8-10 & 11-13. They typically run for either 3 or 5 consecutive days.

Getting to know your child

All our courses are run in small groups. This ensures our Role Model can get to know each child individually.

To help with this, before the course begins, we ask you to answer a few questions about your child and any specific needs they might have. We will also ask about food allergies, medical conditions and any additional needs that our Role Model needs to know about.

It will only take a minute or two, and it ensures our Role Model has all the information they need to ensure your child has the best experience possible.

Included with all our courses...

  • Each day you will receive a summary email, describing what was covered so you can discuss it with your child. They may also include photos of your child taking part in the activities (if consent has been given).
  • At the end of the course you'll receive a set of top-tips on how you can support the development of life skills at home.
  • Your child will receive a branded official certificate to recognise completion of the course.
  • You'll also receive a written report from the Role Model working with your child, highlighting their strengths and areas for further development.
  • Finally, after the course has finished you'll receive follow up videos, that you can watch with your child. These aim to remind your child of the key course themes.

First of all, we already know that these programs are packed of really well-working, useful and proven content since our daughter had joined courses on-site and meanwhile also online a good couple of times over years. Impressive, that with expectations set so high, how much also this latest course took her way with inspiration, again. The highly skilled and ambitious role model and the way they the content would come across even in an online session were very effective and the results impressive, once more. She grows in confidence with every course and session. Awesome.

How has the content been developed?

Our courses follow an education framework developed by teachers, education experts and business leaders. This framework, based on the work of the Partnership for 21st century learning', defines the skills and knowledge that children need to thrive at school, at home and beyond.

Our courses have been written by our Character Education team who are highly qualified educators with over 24 years of teaching experience. Our content emphasises the importance of developing essential key life skills alongside academic attainment, in order to thrive in life.

Who delivers the content?

Our highly experienced team of Role Models are passionate about both education and social & emotional wellbeing. They’re energetic, engaging and curious. They’re adept at combining educational rigour with fun, to create active learning environments that children love. All have been interviewed by our Recruitment Team and are reference and DBS checked.

Can I enrol two children onto the same course or club?

Yes of course! Contact us for information about multi-buy and referral discounts.

What type of child is this course designed for?

Our courses are not designed only for those who may be struggling with specific life skills. We believe all children can build on these essential skills in order to reach their full potential. Your child may need a boost in confidence, to strengthen their resilience or they may just need an opportunity to go outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves by working with new people.

What is the Extended Day Package?

At some venues we are able to look after your child for additional hours before and after the usual course time. We call this the Extended Day package. Outside of the course hours, one of our Role Models will run some extra-curricular games and activities.

An Extended Day Package costs between £15 and £25 depending on the number of hours of additional childcare. If this is available, it will be listed at the top of the course page, showing the specific hours and the price. If the message is not shown at the top of the course page, then we don’t offer an extended day at this venue.

It will also be shown at the checkout as an optional extra, charged for each day of the course. If you would like to use the Extended Day facility but only on specific days, please call or email us with your requirements.
