Develop critical thinking skills, creative thinking and confidence in sharing ideas. Our last courses at BISR sold out 2 weeks before the start date, we advise you book early to avoid disappointment.
The Creative Problem Solving Course is designed to help your child:
The course develops your child’s ability to apply their problem solving skills to a range of situations. Learning how to think creatively can help them feel confident and increase their readiness to embrace new challenges. Developing critical thinking can also increase independence, giving them the tools and strategies to make decisions.
The course includes lots of fun activities which encourage the children to work together to solve problems and use their creativity to come up with new ideas. Specific activities include the ‘toxic waste’ challenge and designing their own ‘Dragon’s Den’ innovative product as well as pitching their idea.
Please watch our Parent Webinar below to get a better sense for what our Creative Problem Solving Course entails. This includes an overview of what your child will learn, together with ideas and strategies for supporting their learning at home:

Address: KAUST Saudi Arabia Thuwal 23955 KAUST
Our team is delighted to offer this course to the children in the community of the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST). KAUST is an international graduate research university on the shores of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.
More than 120 different nationalities live, work and study on campus, and an International Baccalaureate school provides education for more than 1800 K-12 students. The school provides the Role Models with excellent facilities to deliver our workshops – to support children to develop life skills
Our courses are available for children aged 5-7, 8-10 & 11-13. They typically run for either 3 or 5 consecutive days.
All our courses are run in small groups. This ensures our Role Model can get to know each child individually.
To help with this, before the course begins, we ask you to answer a few questions about your child and any specific needs they might have. We will also ask about food allergies, medical conditions and any additional needs that our Role Model needs to know about.
It will only take a minute or two, and it ensures our Role Model has all the information they need to ensure your child has the best experience possible.
from parents & children that attended courses in the creative problem solving series.
Fun and fast paced learning! There will be a mixture of games, challenges, stories and activities all delivered by our Role Models who are experienced with working with this age range of children. There will be breaks built into the structure of the day including time for outside play (weather permitting!) during the lunch break.
Our courses are built on three elements:
Our courses follow an education framework developed by teachers, education experts and business leaders. This framework, based on the work of the Partnership for 21st century learning', defines the skills and knowledge that children need to thrive at school, at home and beyond.
Our courses have been written by our Character Education team who are highly qualified educators with over 24 years of teaching experience. Our content emphasises the importance of developing essential key life skills alongside academic attainment, in order to thrive in life.
Our highly experienced team of Role Models are passionate about both education and social & emotional wellbeing. They’re energetic, engaging and curious. They’re adept at combining educational rigour with fun, to create active learning environments that children love. All have been interviewed by our Recruitment Team and are reference and DBS checked.
Yes of course! Contact us for information about multi-buy and referral discounts.
Our courses are not designed only for those who may be struggling with specific life skills. We believe all children can build on these essential skills in order to reach their full potential. Your child may need a boost in confidence, to strengthen their resilience or they may just need an opportunity to go outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves by working with new people.
At some venues we are able to look after your child for additional hours before and after the usual course time. We call this the Extended Day package. Outside of the course hours, one of our Role Models will run some extra-curricular games and activities.
An Extended Day Package costs between £15 and £25 depending on the number of hours of additional childcare. If this is available, it will be listed at the top of the course page, showing the specific hours and the price. If the message is not shown at the top of the course page, then we don’t offer an extended day at this venue.
It will also be shown at the checkout as an optional extra, charged for each day of the course. If you would like to use the Extended Day facility but only on specific days, please call or email us with your requirements.
