Marco is a working actor based in London and originally from Cambridge. His mother is Italian, from Rome, and his father is Scottish; Marco is therefore quite the culturally confused melting pot. He studied English Literature at the University of Cambridge, where he spent more time over 3 years doing plays than his degree. Hmm. This lead him to apply for drama school, and he has just graduated (July 2018) from a 2 year course at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Alongside auditioning in London, Marco loves going to the theatre and developing original work with fellow actors.
Marco also loves books, and reading; he is always up for a discussion about a book you’ve read and liked or didn’t like! Being intellectually curious in this way is such a valuable trait. He is also a keen sportsman, playing football and tennis to a high level. Marco also played the guitar to grade 7 standard, and loves music.
Marco would struggle to identify one single role model in his life; he is constantly trying to learn from all the impressive people around him, and their admirable traits. However, if he had to settle on one, he would probably choose a guy called Epictetus. He lived over 2000 years ago, so Marco doesn’t know him personally, but his ideas of resilience, focusing our energies on what we can control in life (not what we can’t!) and examining our reactions to events in a rational manner have stood the test of time, and are incredibly relevant to modern life.
