We complement traditional academic education by delivering online & offline courses for 3-13 year olds that develop young peoples’ skills in leadership, confidence, resilience, creative problem solving, collaboration and growth mindset. These skills really impact the everyday lives of the young people we work with.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious, diligent and experienced executive to join our Education Team, with an experienced background in education and the confidence to apply this. The educational content of our courses underpins the success of our product; the quality of the execution of our courses, as well as successfully communicating what we do to various different stake holders, is key. This is an important role within the organisation, reporting directly to the Education Team Manager.

The successful candidate will have a wide knowledge and experience of working within education and knowledge of character education. They will also be an able communicator with great people skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • The main responsibility is to support the Education Team Manager, the strategic growth of the business and to help increase revenue by:

  • Creating new content for online/in-person courses as needed
  • Recruitment of new Role Models to deliver courses (interviewing for suitability and then induct)
  • Quality assessment of online/in-person courses, providing feedback to Role Models
  • Overseeing the successful delivery of in-person courses, offering support and feedback for role models
  • Attending day 1 of in-person courses during holiday periods to ensure smooth delivery (London based)
  • Training Role Models for online/in-person/customised projects (mostly done online)
  • Supporting the Sales team with education based information and joining sales meeting to talk about the content
  • Supporting the Operations team with parent enquiries and staffing of courses
  • Delivering parent talks and staff CPD (mostly online)
  • Directly delivering content both online and in-person where needed
  • Creating educational blogs and video content for marketing purposes
  • Proof reading written reports and checking quality of content
  • Attending conferences and education based events for info/networking/exhibiting
  • Working towards the targets outlined on the education strategy each quarter, as directed by the Character Education Team Manager.

Person Specification – we are searching for the right person to work with our current team, who:

  • Is knowledgeable and experienced in education
  • Is flexible and willing to adapt to a fast pace working environment
  • Is understanding of the need to be contactable outside of working hours where necessary
  • Is an excellent communicator and someone who can build positive relationships
  • Is passionate, shows attention to detail and has high standards
  • Embodies the types of attributes and skills we are educating children in-empathy, communication skills, growth mindset, resilience and the ability to collaborate effectively.

The Nitty Gritty

Our offices are on Stormont Road, Battersea SW11 5EN. The team currently spend two days a week in the office and the rest working from home. Please note this position requires 1 day a week in the office.

Role Models is only 7 years old so the team is relatively small but well formed and great fun! We have recently closed a £915k funding round with a view to aggressive expansion both online and offline over the next few years, so there is lots of work to be done and you will need to be up for a challenge.

We have 9 full-time employees and 4 outsourced part-time employees. As a result, you would have the opportunity to make a huge difference to the trajectory of this growing business and would be given significant responsibility.

As we are a small and exciting growth business, we pride ourselves on providing a seamless service to our clients. This will on occasion result in a need to communicate at weekends, whether with clients or other members of the team.
