The Role

Role Models is an ambitious and passionate brand trying to revolutionise the way children are taught. We equip children from age 5-13 with tools to thrive in the future, through life skills such as confidence, resilience, leadership and growth mindset. With 50% of children experiencing mental health problems by the age of 14, never have these skills been more important. Our learning takes place online and in-person and are delivered by our trained facilitators (Role Models). We are looking for an enthusiastic, eager to learn, Marketing Intern to work closely with our Marketing Manager and of course collaborate with the wider team including the CEO. Within our team you will create engaging imagery, video and email content designed to build our brand image; around being a fun and informative thought leader in the education space, as well as drive sales. You should have a keen eye for detail and keep up to date and have view on key trends in marketing and education. You will be responsible for developing and implementing communications across multiple channels to our existing customers and drive new customers down the marketing funnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating social media content that engages our target audience
  • Building and sending out weekly emails to our database
  • Collating, reporting and analysing our weekly marketing activity and using this to inform the strategy
  • Keep a close working relationship with our B2B clients and provide them with the necessary assets to promote our courses
  • Work closely with the education team to build content that is informative and fun
  • Idea generation helping us source appropriate partners; influencers and organisations

Traits we're looking for

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Canva
  • Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and Twitter
  • BSc/BA in Marketing/Business or other related fields
  • Forecasted 2:1

The Nitty Gritty

Our offices are on Stormont Road, Battersea, SW11 5EN but, at the moment, we’re spending 2 days/week working from the office and 3 days/week working from home.

Role Models is only 7 years old so the team is relatively small but well-formed and great fun! We have recently closed a £915k funding round with a view to aggressive expansion both online and offline over the next few years, so there is lots of work and you will need to be up for a challenge.

We have 9 full-time employees and 4 outsourced part-time employees. As a result, you would have the opportunity to make a huge difference to the trajectory of this growing business and would be given significant responsibility.

As we are a small and exciting growth business, we pride ourselves on providing a seamless service to our clients. This will on occasion result in a need to communicate at weekends, whether with clients or other members of the team.
